This story takes place in a marine setting: Don Antonio, the lighthouse keeper, lives alone on a small islet. One night, he comes across a young albatross. The albatross cannot fly and shows no interest in learning. Don Antonio finds the situation concerning—his new friend will not be able to leave with his companions in search of a place to spend the winter. He then decides to teach the bird to fly, without even suspecting the outcome of his enthusiastic lessons.

Reviews

“This book starts with a seemingly simple story and unfolds into a deeper reflection of beauty and wisdom. A book that invites us to think about the meaning of nature, habit, and vocation in our lives.”
